 Got osCommerce?
Do you have a hobby making
arts and crafts? Do you have anything you want
to sell on your own without using eBay? Do you have your own retail
store and want to sell products on the internet?
If
you answered yes to any of these questions then we can help!
There
are basically two ways to sell stuff on the internet. You can use eBay
or you can set up your own shopping cart.
Selling on
eBay means they will act as your middle man and collect fees whether
your items sell or not. It also means that you may or may not get your
asking price.
Selling on your own internet shopping
cart means you are in total control of setting your prices.
Most of the time it also means that you need to have
your own
website, pay for SSL certificates and sign up for expensive
merchant credit card processing accounts where you pay yet another
annual fee for their services.
But what other
hosting services won't usually tell you is that we've found a way
to make an internet shopping cart an experience that you'll enjoy as
well as save a lot of money on eBay fees, SSL certificates, and
expensive merchant credit card processing accounts. Basically it
involves these steps...
1. Sign up for a domain
hosting account...
2.
Sign up for a PayPal account and use their SSL certificate.
3.
Sign up for a United States Postal account.
4.
Install
osCommerce Shopping Cart software.
5.
Configure and customize osCommerce
Shopping Cart software.
6.
Add items to your osCommerce
Shopping Cart.
In
most cases you can perform steps 1 - 4 without any help. But if you
need help then we can help guide you through steps 1 - 4 for
free. As a matter of fact, we have written a help file called "Getting Started
With
osCommerce" that will give you more details involved in this
process.
Step
5 allows you to change the look and feel of your osCommerce shopping
cart to reflect the colors of your underlying website. This step
requires experience with HTML and PHP. But again, if you
need help then you can refer to "Getting Started
With
osCommerce". If you still need help, then we can perform step
5 for a nominal fee.
Step 6 is where your fun really
begins! You'll easily learn to add for-sale items to your osCommerce
shopping
cart, upload images of your products, enter their prices, shipping
weights, add descriptions, and even monitor inventory of items
remaining. Here's a screenshot of the Administrator's Control Panel for
osCommerce...

If you
don't feel inclined to perform
Step 6 yourself, then we can also perform this step for a nominal fee.
You just send us the images of your products, pricing and weight
information, descriptions, and inventory amounts and we'll add them for
you. Then sit back and let your osCommerce shopping cart rake
in the sales.
Now you're
ready to start selling items from your very own internet shopping cart!
